MS Dynamics 365 Business Central –  Techno-Functional consultant

Job Summary:

The Techno-Functional Business Central consultant role works with client and partner teams to customize Business Central and integrate with 3rd party systems. The role includes regression testing, issue triage, automation tasks, and applying accounting knowledge to build finance-specific solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architect, plan, test and deploy Business Central solutions.
2. Analyzing requirements, designing solutions, creating estimates, and other supporting activities related to implementation pursuits
3. Developing functional and technical specifications for Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC enhancements and integrations
4. Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and PowerShell scripts for reporting and automation
5. Participate in full lifecycle implementations of Dynamics NAV/BC (minimum 3-4 end-to-end projects)
6. Integrate BC with third-party systems and platforms using APIs, web services, or custom connectors
7. Leverage a solid understanding of accounting principles to tailor solutions for finance teams
8. Maintain documentation and version control for all entities

Required Skills:

1. Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
2. Must have 5+ years’ experience with Dynamics NAV and Business Central Development
3. Hands-on in full-cycle implementations and module development from scratch
4. Strong grasp of finance, operations, supply chain concepts
5. Expertise in C/AL, .NET, SQL Server, and PowerShell scripting
6. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and WMS modules
7. API integration with other eCommerce, Logistics and Retail software
8. Good to have knowledge and experience in EDI integrations (Optional)
