OPEN, or the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship and business leadership in the Pakistani-American community. It is an inclusive, encompassing and collaborative organization with a vision to become the premier organization driving entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
Founded in 1998 by a group of Pakistani-American entrepreneurs and corporate executives in Boston, OPEN now has chapters in Boston, Silicon Valley, New York, Washington DC, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, London, Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
OPEN Karachi is the association’s first chapter outside the United States and also its first foot-hold into Pakistan thereby helping to strengthen the communication between the global chapters and industry in Pakistan. Since the association’s charter is to provide networking opportunities and enhanced business opportunities for entrepreneurs and professionals of Pakistani heritage globally, the decision to launch its local presence, was a critical one.
